Lieven Vanhove
Lieven Vanhove is a skilled Visual Director with a wealth of experience in professional post-production for television and the silver screen. He’s really into discovering new ways to create unique atmospheres and exploring the unlimited technological possibilities of the medium.
Until now, his biggest project is his own short movie, Nimmer. In 2011, he wrote the screenplay and saw a lot of hard work rewarded by the Flanders Audiovisual Fund. The film contains VFX, 3D animation as well as live-action, all blending seamlessly into a compelling viewing experience. After years of dedication, Nimmer earned several awards and was selected for multiple international film festivals between 2016 and 2019.
In 2019 and 2021, Lieven received funding to produce a new short film, EXIT, another visually driven project combining live-action, motion capture, and surprising visual effects. Currently, the film is in post-production.
Beyond short films, Lieven creates graphic visuals for concerts and musicians and produces films for anyone who needs a movie. When he’s really having fun, he directs and invents theater plays. He’s a recent Podcast creator graduate, has an enduring fascination with lighthouses, eats the same cheese sandwich every day, and holds a disdain for trolleys and Quechua tents.
