Lauriane Beaunier

Lauriane is a designer specialised in colour and materials, with a broad and curious approach to her craft. While some people narrow their focus, she keeps expanding hers, always exploring new ways to apply her expertise. She began developing textiles for the automotive industry (only 15 people doing this in France) then worked on colour and trends in sports before launching her own practice @excla_studio in 2013. Since then, she’s collaborated with fashion brands, DIY retailers, furniture editors, and technical industries, helping them develop, coordinate, and create materials, spaces, concepts, and stories. Sometimes solo, sometimes with her favorite designer (and life partner) @aurelien_veyrat.

Formerly a teacher at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Lauriane recently moved to Brussels with her family. She dreams of continuing her poetic and sustainable exploration of the colours of the french coast with her collective Landelab…soon to expand to Belgium and beyond!

Why Palazzo? “I wanted a place to set up my materials library and meet clients in a creative atmosphere. Palazzo’s ideal location and joyful community were perfect. And I can’t wait to join the life-drawing sessions”.
