Das Haus – ‘Polyphonic Encounters’ by Younes Zarhoni & Marc de la Linde
This performance emerges from an artistic residency at Das Haus, bringing together the distinct repertoires of two artists from distant horizons. Multidisciplinary artist Younes Zarhoni, known for his vocal layering and hypnotic techno creations, moves between madrigals, early choral forms, and mystical Arabic poetry. Spanish viol player Marc De La Linde draws from the refined elegance and emotional expressiveness of Renaissance and Baroque music. Through mutual exchange, rhythmic structures, field recordings, and electronic elements surface as preludes and interludes, unfolding within a quadriphonic setup that gives the music space to breathe and move; inviting the listener into a continuous flow of sound and silence.
